How to check and Confirm Nexus 1000V Secondary will work if Primary Turned off

Hello

I have installed Nexus 1000V Primarry and Secondary on different ESXis

but i will have to turn off the Primary , how to make sure the Secondary will be in charge and wont have any Disconnection

show module shows them and seem to be ok

any other checks to do before proceeding ?

Two commands you can use are:

show system redundancy status

show svs connection

If everything looks good you're good to go.  This will ensure the vCenter connection is alive and sync'd up and both VSMs are healthy.

The VSMs do NOT have to be online for VMs to maintain network connectivity.  You can shut down both VSMs and everything will forward as usual.  The only impact to having both VSMs offline is you're not able to create or modify any configuration or create/move virtual ports - including vMotioning a VM from one host to another.  The VEMs will continue to use their last known configuration until at least one VSM comes back online, then it will re-sync up and push any config changes accordingly.
