Hello

I have 2 nexus 5000 (5596) n5000-uk9.6.0.2.N2.4.bin, I know that to enable Jumbo frames I have to create a policy,

But I have the following questions can I force some of the interfaces to work with 1500 instead of 9162?

When I do the policy show I need to reboot the boxes? If this to NK5000 are in a vpc domain, can I have one NK5 with the policy and the other one with no policy?

thanks.

Hello,

This is a network design question.

- Do you have applications or servers that utilize jumbo frames?

- Are other devices configured to use jumbo frames?

- Do you use iSCSI in your network?

This is an end-to-end configuration that you would need to consider if you want to take advantage of this. Some applications require jumbo frames and/or run better when using them.

This document should answer all your questions and even contains some config examples:

Hello.

Thanks for the link, my question is will it be a good practice, add jumbo frames to the links I have from the Nk5000 to my NK7000?

Thanks.
