hello everybody.

 according to the doc

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/datacenter/nexus1000/sw/5_x/security_config/b_Cisco_N1KV_VMware_Security_Config_5x/b_Cisco_N1KV_VMware_Security_Config_5x_chapter_011.html

 there should be a VSD feature.

 but i cannot find any commands mentioned the doc

nexus-vsm(config-port-prof)# v?

  vmware    VMware configuration

  vservice  Bind vservice to port-profile

nexus-vsm(config-port-prof)#

nexus-vsm(config-port-prof)# virtual-service-domain test

                              ^

No token match at '^' marker.

nexus-vsm(config-port-prof)#

 has any body familar with VSD?

Virtual Service Domain (VSD)VSD is no longer supported as of this release. You must remove the VSD feature before upgrading to Release 5.2(1)SV3(1.1)

Thanks,

Kirk...

This feature was introduced in 4.0(4)SV1(2) , so please ensure that you are running this or a higher version and also can you please share screenshot of all the config steps that you attempt including the ones for VLAN.

Manish

hi Manish thank you for your answer. pls find attached show tech-sup and the missing show and config commands at the end of this log.

Was the config as per the following attempted?

switch# config terminal
switch(config)# port-profile webserver-inside
switch(config-port-profile)# switchport mode trunk
switch(config-port-profile)# switchport trunk allowed vlan all
switch(config-port-profile)# virtual-service-domain vsd1-webserver
switch(config-port-prof)# no shutdown
switch(config-port-prof)# vmware port-group webservers-inside-protected
switch(config-port-prof)# service-port inside default-action forward
switch(config-port-prof)# state enabled
switch(config-port-prof)# show virtual-service-domain vsd1-webserver

Manish,

 the issue is there is NO any vitual-service-domain commands in the Nexus CLI.

 you can try it by yourself

 ssh://212.42.193.5  admin/admin123#

Hi,

Yes, i tried and faced the same issue, the command did not work. Any chance of testing it on a different NX-OS version by upgrading or downgrading it?

Manish

it's the latest and the only one which supports esxi 6.5
