Nexus SPAN to multiple destinations

Hello!

Today i suddenly met the restrictions in Nexus 5596 System version: 5.1(3)N1(1a).

The target is monitoring one source (10Gig Ethernet port), to two destination ports. (This is third party active/passive monitoring & IDS).

And restriction is:

One monitor session can have only ONE destination.

I tried to create two sessions, for specific destinations. But source interface can participate only in ONE session.

Vlan or Port-Channels can't be the destinations (no surprise).

Can you help me with solution.

Can it be configured?

If no, which network equipment will help me to apply this.

Any workarounds?

There is a documented bug but no work around on the N5K is available according to this link.

As far as I understand the bug won't be fixed in later versions of NX-OS.

This probably won't help you but the feature you are looking for is available on the N7K.
