hi,
my question:
i have a cisco7513 router which is connected to an ibm host over a cip-card.
there is the following configuration on the card:
.
.
lan TokenRing 7
source-bridge 1127 1 1120
adapter 15 4000.1090.0002
name Geos_Tir
and so on.
there is a sna-server which has a connection to the host over this adapter - everything is fine.
now they want to install a new sna-session (lu6.2) from that server to the same adapter.
but it is not possible to configure the new session on the server with the same sap-value (04) as the first session has.
so we tried with a sap of 08 but it does not work - i think my cip-router only "hears" to sap 04.
is there a possibility to configure a second sap value ?
must this new sap-value also match with the config on the ibm-host ??
any idea ???
thanks a lot !

You do not configure the SAP value anywhere on the router. It is only specified in the XCA major node so you need to set up a second XCA major node with a different SAP value.
Alternatively you could set up an second adapter with a different mac address as well.

Alternatively, you can use a different sap value on the sna-server while you keep the sap value of CIP. This will save you a lot of configuration on CIP and XCA.

You will probably need to add a CSNA statement on your physical channel connection, which will match the XCA definition.
