Hi Team,
I am trying to setup additional servers connectivity in my university Data center.
Back in my research center I have 34 servers + storage ( Site A)
I have another 20 servers nodes need to be placed inside university DC ( Site-B )
I have 2x units of Cisco 2960X-48 port switches. 1 x units in ( Site-A) and 1 x unit inside Data center ( Site-B )
To connect between site-A and site-B , the University IT corporate has given me 2 set of IP number range VLAN ( public) which is not same as my private VLAN.
Question is do i need router-1 and router-2 to make the communication between site-A and site-B ? Can i have use Layer-3 switches which someone have suggested.
Thanks
Max

Those severs are going to hammer the puny 2960X to it's knees. There will be Total Output Drops galore until someone (correctly) configures QoS on each port of the switch.

Hi Leo,
Replacing the C2960 with Layer 3 switches will do the job ?
