I had 1 port become loose and the Gbic would stay snuggly in. I put in a TAC Case and was sent a replacement chassis. Now I need to transfer all modules and license to the new chassis during a maintaince window. I am trying to come up with a step by step plan (in order) of all that needs to be done. Below is my plan with questions in parenthesis. Could some review and see if I am on the right track and provide any relevent documentation.
Thanks to all in advance.
Check software level and upgrade or downgrade as needed
Rack mount new chassis
Get all license from old chassis to transfer to new one. (Not sure of steps to do this. Any advise would be appreciated.)
Get config of old chassis
Power down old chassis
Swap all module to same slots, as on old one
Swap cables, from old chassis to new chassis, 1 for 1 to same ports
