Guys,

I have UCSC-C240-M4 crash running fw ver  2.0(3e) and the server is having PSU fault on CIMC but it clears within few minutes.

There is no amber light on the PSU1&2 physically. This was the only related bug i found

https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCuv66809

Please share you input on what can be further checked.

Hello,

Good find on that defect. Are you seeing errors like this in the logs:

From the System Event Logs:
PIN reports a specific reading of 2040 Watts
And/or
VOUT reports a specific reading of 15.80 Volts

If you can confirm that these are being generated and the power supplies are still functioning properly, I think you can safely say that you are being effected by that defect. There are quite a few support cases linked to it.

If you are having further issues, please share you questions.

HTH,

Wes

Hello Wes,

I am having below errors but no the one you stated though. Yeah the PSU status is good, no amber light on it.

Voltage sensor for PSU2, non-recoverable event, Upper Non-Recoverable going high (15.800 > 15.000 V) was asserted

Voltage sensor for PSU2, failure event, Upper Critical going high (15.800 > 14.000 V) was asserted

Anand

Thanks Anand,

You should be safe to ignore the faults or plan a firmware upgrade to a fixed release if necessary.

Let me know if you have further questions.

I am planning to upgrade the firmware to 2.0(8d). Will let you know the outcome.

Cheers.

Regards,

Anand
