Hello
I added a new ESXi 5.1 to my Cluster which has Nexus 1000v
installed the vib file to new esxi successfully
but show module on VSM doesnt show that VEM for that ESXi
even vem status showing OK and running vemcmd show card showing correct VLANs
but vemcmd show port showing Ports
is showing Admin Up but state Down
we shut the ports then no shut but with no luck
checked another VEM which is up , it is the same configuration from Nexus and Switches like the new one but still not showing
what to do ? any thing to be done with the extension ? manual registration or so so that VEM shows on VSM ?
Please Advise

NExus 1000v VSM and VEM with version 4.2(1) SV1.5(2) support ESXi5.1.
If you are using Layer 2 mode, Make sure you have control and packet vlans allowed on the trunk port of the switch where you connect new host.
If you are using Layer 3 mode make sure VSM control0 IP address can reach vmknic assigned for control communication.
Keep one vNIC in vswitch and another in vDS and see if VEM shows up.
All above procedure can be done automatically using Java installer that comes with 4.2(1) SV1.5(2) code zip file.
