How to setup failover between Switches

Have a SLM2024 Switch that I need to connect to 2 HP Switches. The HP Switches have a trunk between themselves and can communicate fine.  They are not stacked switches.

I want to setup a network connection to each HP Switch, but do not want to create a loop.  If HP Switch A goes down and loses connection to the SLM2024, HP Switch B needs to be able to communicate to the SLM2024.

How do I set this up?

Hi CTS, if spanning tree is being ran, a network loop wouldn't be possible. So you should be able to run redundant wires and have one port is a blocking state due to spanning tree mechanism.
