Product Instances Not Show Hostname

Dear All, 

Hope you can give your help!

I have completed the configuration for activating the smart license, but when I check on the portal, in Product Instances tab just shows PID and SN.

Hi!

Did you get an answer to this? It seems to affect my 9x00 stacks running 17+ code but the pre-17 stacks are still using their hostname. This PID/UDI is a real pain to cross-reference to an actual device.

17.3.x added the following lines to your config:

license smart privacy hostname

license smart privacy version

Issue "no license smart privacy hostname" and your devices will send hostname to the CSSM

In IOS 17.3.x there are two default commands which are added as part of an upgrade:

license smart privacy hostname
license smart privacy version

This enables privacy and so the device does not send the hostname to the CSSM. If you issue "no license smart privacy hostname" it will send the info to the CSSM.

I tried this but did not help. I have a SSM On-Prem Topology with CSSM Connetivity. Tested an ISR 4431 Device with Version 17.03.05.

Configered "no license smart privacy hostname" and connected via "license smart sync local" to the SSM. Still showing the IP-address.

"Show license all" shows:

Data Privacy:
Sending Hostname: yes
Callhome hostname privacy: DISABLED
Smart Licensing hostname privacy: DISABLED
Version privacy: DISABLED
