Credential Not Working

Hello,

Anyone ever have an issue on the CSPC when adding a credential and it won't work?  I added a new SSHv2 credential for a specific device and it fails.  When I login to the CSPC via ssh, and then ssh to the device, it works, but when it runs from the GUI it fails.

Thank you

Hello team,

If a new SSHv2 credential has been configured on one device, it should be added to the Collector too.
To check how to add new credentias on the CSPC please go to this link https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/support/docs/cloud-systems-management/common-services-platform-collector-cspc/CSPC-User-Guide.pdf pag 257-258.

Note:
+ After the credentials have been added, the devices can be managed. While credentials must be entered by wildcards matching IP addresses or the IP addresses themselves, the devices can be managed by either IP address or DNS name.

Thank you for contacting Global CX - Smart Services Support Team.

I know how to add a credential in the CSPC.  I've added a new SSH credential and it fails when I do a discovery or device access verification.  My other SSH credentials work.  It fails in the GUI.  When i SSH to the CSPC and make a SSH connection to the device from the command line it connects.

why you want to add a CLI credential to a SNTC collector ?  There is no intrinsic value in adding CLI credentials for SNTC original  portal purposes.  additionally you CAN only manage a device via SNMP not SSH or telnet.  where exactly your devices are failing SSH via the GUI

It collects the running and startup configs.  The SSH fails in discovery and device access verification.
