Hi Jesus,

Thank you for replying, i have deployed the new OVA image onto a ESXi Host running ESXi 7

The ova deploys absolutely fine, and post config tasks all work no issue, however on a reboot of the appliance, it loses its hostname entirely and reverts to using localhost, all other settings are retained, have even tried using the hostname command to modify it. it changes fine but again on reboot of the appliance reverts to localhost

Hi Simon,

Thank you for providing detailed information.

I have tried recreating the hostname change using the commands below, and after rebooting the appliance, the hostname remains the same. Please open a CLI session, login as collectorlogin and then change to root user.

1. sudo hostnamectl set-hostname newhostname

2. reboot

Please be advised that making changes to the CSPC collector could potentially result in the malfunctioning of some features..

Best regards,

Jesus
