Deploying CSPC Collector on GCP and Configuring Internal Network Commu

Dear Cisco Community,

We are working on a project to deploy the CSPC Collector for a client who wants to use Google Cloud Platform (GCP). We have some questions regarding the deployment process and network configuration:

  1. Deployment: We have the CSPC Collector as an OVA file. What's the best practice for deploying this on GCP, given that GCP doesn't directly support OVA imports?
  2. Internal Network Communication: The CSPC Collector needs to perform SNMP-based discovery of devices on the client's internal network. We're considering setting up a site-to-site VPN between GCP and the client's on-premises network. Is this the recommended approach? If so, what are the key considerations for configuring this securely?
  3. Network Discovery: Once deployed, how should we configure the CSPC Collector to ensure it can discover and communicate with devices on the client's internal network through the VPN?

If anyone has experience with this type of setup or can provide guidance on best practices, we would greatly appreciate your insights

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello lucasaraujo,

Thank you very much for contacting Cisco Smart services-CX CLOUD

I would like to inform you that, as per Cisco's official support policies, we do not currently support Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or any other virtual environments for the installation of Cisco Collector (CSPC).

At this time, Cisco only supports CSPC installations on VMware ESXi environments.

You can perform that action by yourself since we cannot make recommendations for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) since this tool is out of Cisco Support's scope.

I hope this clarifies the support boundaries.

Thank you for your understanding.

Best regard,
