Hi Team,

I received the below query from one of our customers. Your support is highly appreciated.

We have Hyper-V Environment, Just want to clarify few things:

- What configuration is required for the Hyper-V server (Please suggest if we can install the Hyper-V server in any High-end Desktop)
- The server is only for installing the collector software Internally.
- We need to keep the Hyper-V server in Network once its implemented or we can remove the system from network once its implemented.

Many Thanks.

Hi,

Hyper-V is a feature of Windows Server 2008 or 20012. Any machine it is installed on should have the minimum requirements:

4x 64bit Processor Core
4GB RAM available for the virtual server
250GB free on HDD
1 NIC

The server can be configured and run once to upload the data to Cisco, but this is not the recommended way to use SNTC. You should leave the server up and schedule regular collections to keep your information in the portal up to date.

Thanks,

Lynden
