Duplicate phones on the inventory

Hi there,

I got a client with more than 500 ip phones (among other devices such as switches, routers and ucs) and after I ran the discovery/collection profile 1000 phones shows up on the inventory.

I wonder why all of them were duplicated, is it possible because this client has two cucm for redundancy? I thought that if that would be the case the portal would be smart enough to realize those "cloned" entries and at the end just one would be displayed...

If both CUCMs are reporting the same phones then both sets are created when the data is first processed. Prior to generating data for reporting the inventory is subject to de-duplication based on SN/PID. I will send you an email to get the customer information so we can make sure that you're not experiencing a software defect.
