How do you add two devices into Total Care that were not discovered by collector?

Hello,

You could use CVS file import feature to manually upload those devices from the SNTC portal as long as you have Hostname, IP Address, Serial Number,Product ID for those devices.

Thanks,

Jawaid.

Hello,

Just to add to what Jawaid said earlier, it depends on why those devices were not discovered by the collector.

  1. If the devices are on the network and open for collection then you can go back into the collector software and create new credentials for those specific devices. After the new credential string has been created run a discovery to see if the collector is able to locate them. If you’re not able to locate the devices then you can always utilize the CSV file import.

  1. If there is a reason why the collector missed them such as the devices are behind a firewall or they are spare devices not on the network, then you could utilize the file import feature to get them into SNTC.

There is an E-Learning library within SNTC under Useful Links. Within this E-Learning library you can find detailed videos on the CSV File Upload process as well as Updating Managed Device Lists through the collector

Here are the links to the 2 VODs:
