Serial Number to Description and Warranty API

Is there any APIs that we can use to look up information the description and warranty/Smartnet based on a serial number?

We are building our own inventory management system and I have serial numbers of the Cisco devices.

Screen scraping from http://tools.cisco.com/scc/ is not how we want to handle thousands of devices.

We would like to integrate our service with cisco.com directly to pull any information..

Yes it still works, we use it every day.

Go to https://apiconsole.cisco.com/ and sign-in/register.  The API instructions are pretty good.  Just start with the Hello API to make sure your access token code works, then start integrating the other APIs.

Sorry I'm a beginner on this, but if it doesn't appears in the options, does it mean that I can't use it? or can I add Serial number to information API with other method?

Yes there are quite a few more than that, including SN2INFOv2.  I don't know the rules around access levels to each API (e.g., are some partner only?).

I would send your CCO ID and access request to:

1. ssapi-pilot-help@external.cisco.com and see if they can grant access, or
2. http://www.cisco.com/assets/services/ts/smartnet/sch/smart_service_bureau.html, or
3. Otherwise you may have to contact your Cisco rep and go from there.
