Auto Voice Vlan, Trunk and access

Hi,

I've already configured voice vlan on IOS switchs but I want to test configuration on SMB products.

On IOS, we have to do this :

SW0(config)#interface fastethernet 0/1 
SW0(config-if)#switchport mode access 
SW0(config-if)#switchport access vlan 10 
SW0(config-if)#switchport voice vlan 20

I've seen that the manual configuration is quite different on SMB, as we have to set the port in trunk mode, native vlan data and tagged voice vlan. It's OK, no problem.

But, if I want to configure with Auto Voice Vlan or even Telephony OUI (I know that they are mutually exclusive), I also need to configure the ports on trunk mode or I can let it on access mode and the "smart" switch do the rest?

yes you need to enable smart port using macros if you are not familiar with macro you can still do traditional way and it works as expected.
