Hello,
We have a Cisco SF 300-08 here at work that cannot be used. The system lights are green and flashing. I looked into the manual and pressed the reset button for more than 10 seconds for a factory reset. The port lights lit up momentarily and then goes out. I used Putty and Tera Term with no luck. The screen is just blank; there's no boot up process. What is happening here? Can it be fixed?

Hi Joe, here is a documentation that may be helpful;
https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-27000
By default, if you power the switch, connect it to a network, it will receive a DHCP address from the network. The 192.168.1.254 IP is no longer applicable. If you're trying to console the switch, use the settings outlined on the above document.
If you're able to console but the switch either boot loops, fatal error and crashes or doesn't load correctly, please use the entire procedure outlined on the above document.
If this fails, you need to call the SBSC for a RMA.

It's not in production. I was going to reset it so I can configure it to hook up to the network but I can't even do that. I was trying to connect through console the whole time. I don't see any boot process. Can't access rommon.
