Firmware upgrade SF300-24P - can I skip intermediate versions

I have a SF300-24P switch running version 1.1.2.0 firmware.

I want to get to the latest release (1.2.9.44) - can I upgrade directly to the latest code or do I need to step through all the versions in between?

You can upgrade to 1.2.9.44 directly.

Here's the thing. the original software 1.0.0.27 to 1.1.2.0 should have no problems and not require step ups. On the 1.2.7.76 the xml format changed. You may upgrade from 1.1.2.0 to 1.2.9.44 and it should work mostly fine. However if there are any problems the switch should get factory reset.

The reason it is fine is because the same "rule" would apply for the 1.2.7.76 software which is the only software between those releases.
