Hello,

I'm new to networking and I'm trying to set up a network switch.

My task is to set a SG350-52MP PoE switch.  I've learned how to do basic configuration and I have read multiple manuals and articles, my issue: i cant come up with a solution is to set up my VOIP telephone.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?  I have a Shoretel230 telephone.  telephone screen show "no service" trying:...

Switch has IP address on native vlan and has default voice vlan 108

thank you for taking the time to read this post.

I was hopeful this was going to work, but telephone still has No Service and its trying to reach two IP addresses (phone server).  I personally don't know what to do next or how to even ask a question about this issue.

explain what is Phone IP address get ? what is the Phone Server IP address ?

for the Phone to reach Phone Server, you need Options  (what phone server ?)

phone still trying to connect to Phone server IP address

Hi

Make sure the Phone got IP address and gateway, dns and voip server.

Seems to me this Phone is trying to register somewhere and does not find the voip server.

I'm testing the network switch with an existing phone, phone has IP address and gateway, dns and voip server on.

my set up is from PC to Phone and Phone to switch.  I'm able to get internet and see my network, phone starts up but can't seem to find its phone server

My switch had a voice vlan with id 108 included.  i had previously changed voice vlan properties > voice vlan ID 1 (which was at default) to 108. to match the default voice vlan id.

i have attached my running config.  Ethernet is connected to gi 49, phone is connected to gi 25 and pc to gi1  (just for testing purposes)
