Issues DHCP

Hello,

I am running a SG350-10MP switch. I have noted that sometimes there are issues with my DHCP/IPv4 Address assignment. I can see in my logs that error:

%DHCP-F-HASH: Failed insert to DHCPP_alloc_hash_id hash table in function DHCPP_add_addr_from_dynam ***** FATAL ERROR *****  Reporting Task: DHCP. Software  Version: 2.5.8.15 [...]

Using G. I was able to find that link: DHCP error

However, I am also running the most up-2-date firmware. This issue occurs multiple times a week, sometimes twice a day.

Does anybody have an idea how I can troubleshoot this issue? Or is it really a known bug as implied here?

Thanks,

Christian

Try rebooting the device and see if that fixes the issue, or contact SMB tac.

Yes, it Seems a bug

you have to create a Tac ticket if the new release version is also affected.

I was unlucky to run into this problem, too, and on two CBS350 switches with the latest firmware. Both switches had their DHCP server set up and running fine for long time. One of them was acting as a routing switch. The problem occurred when I was converting my network to use another routing switch. I believe some DHCP table gets corrupted when SVIs are modified. That must be a firmware bug. One switch was rebooting itself in a loop and I had to reset it to the factory defaults. It went a little better with the second switch since I was able to disable its DHCP server and remove the DHCP configuration.

This seems to be a very old issue.
