We have configured multicasting for our Nexus 5K switches. and for the most part everything seems to be working until recently.
Setup is we have 2 Nexus 5k switches connected via Dark FIber from Site A to Site B. Site A is sending the multicast traffc and Site B is receiving it.
Now Site B is not seeing multicast taffic for some of the servers. When I run a sho ip mroute vrf prod (Site A) I get the following:
(*, 224.168.0.2/32), uptime: 2d18h, igmp pim ip
Incoming interface: Vlan254, RPF nbr: 10.3.254.5
Outgoing interface list: (count: 1)
Vlan4, uptime: 2d18h, igmp
(*, 224.168.0.3/32), uptime: 2d19h, igmp ip pim
Incoming interface: Vlan254, RPF nbr: 10.3.254.5
Outgoing interface list: (count: 1)
Vlan4, uptime: 2d19h, igmp
(*, 224.168.0.5/32), uptime: 3d14h, ip pim igmp
Incoming interface: Vlan254, RPF nbr: 10.3.254.5
Outgoing interface list: (count: 1)
Vlan4, uptime: 2d19h, igmp
(*, 224.168.0.6/32), uptime: 3d14h, ip pim igmp
Incoming interface: Vlan254, RPF nbr: 10.3.254.5
Outgoing interface list: (count: 1)
Vlan4, uptime: 3d14h, igmp
Everything works fine within vlan4 but that is just layer 2 multicasting to my knowledge.
Any help or guidance is much appreciated.
Thanks
