                 - Check the serial number here : https://cway.cisco.com/sncheck/

 M.

-- Each morning when I wake up and look into the mirror I always say ' Why am I so brilliant ? '
When the mirror will then always repond to me with ' The only thing that exceeds your brilliance is your beauty! '

yes i looked there. But it looks like a 1000base sfp. But mine is 10g so why bring me wrong product with this SN?

           - Why do you think it is 10g ?

Take a picture of the optic's serial number.  Post it here.

@xariskk24 given serial of sfp is GLC-SX-MMD and its not 10G. check if your SFP SKU. for 10G SFPs, it is SFP-10G-SR

Please rate this and mark as solution/answer, if this resolved your issue
Good luck

@xariskk24 its 10G. your typo done mistake in serial. normally warranty for SFPs are bound to the connected device as per my understanding. if this defective, you can open TAC case using device serial which this is connected to.

I am sure you need to check one of the digit wrongs in the provided number - fns20431356 ( that will change into different product).

if you sure its 10GB then check the numbers again

you can also insert to device - and you can see show inventory and show interface ten x/x trans

thank you all for your answers. I spoke with cisco chat agent and told me that otherwise is too old component and didnt have any warranty.

fns20431356  ( 5 = S)

You typed the SR Number wrong - change from 5 to S - it will show you correctly.

Yes, I did take a look. It appears to be a 1000base sfp, though. But why did you send me the incorrect product with this SN while mine is 10g?

SKU is SFP-10G-SR.
