Hi,
I browsed through archives and googled some about the difference between Layer2 mode and Layer3 mode. But all are just saying to make inter-vlan routing work, or configure multiple vlan interfaces, you need to change it from Layer2(default?) to Layer3 mode.
My questions are:
Q1) Are there any features lost when I changed the mode from Layer2 to Layer3? Are all features available in Layer2 mode there in Layer3 mode?
Q2) If the answer to Q1) is yes, what's the reason to have Layer2 mode and it is the default mode? Is this only for performance/memory concerns?
Thanks,
Toshi
