SG350-10P PoE issue

Hi,

I have a SG350-10P switch running the last 2.5.5.47 firmware.

The switch is set to factory defaults. Has yet to be programmed.

I noticed that my access points didn't get any power. Checked with an external PoE adapter, AP working fine. Just not with the switch.

Switch says it has a nominal power available of 1W. How is this possible? Should be 62W with this kind of switch. It's AC powered, nothing connected.

 - What's the ap-model and power-needs ?

Hi M,

No AP connected, no power needs in the above setting. However, I'd like to connect some APs, consuming 3.2W each. But everything I connect results in a "Failed".

Switch says there's only 1W available. All my other SG350-10P switches says there's 62W nominal power.

Switch is brand new, original power supply.

Now I set the max power of the 1st port to 4W, disabled the rest. Nothing strange in the running-config.

Logging says something about switches the active power source. Is this normal?

Hi,

Please share the AP brand name and model details. What are the PoE standard supported on that AP?

Hi,

AP is not the issue. Issue is that the switch says it has only 1W total power available for PoE. It should be 62W.

Unit Module         Nominal   Consumed Temp SW            PSE chipset
Power (W) Power (W) (C)     Version  HW Revision
---- -------------- --------- ------------ -------- ------------- -----------------
1    SG350-10P 1 0 (0%) 62 23.190.18.3 PD69208 - 0x4A02

...should read....

Unit Module         Nominal   Consumed Temp SW            PSE chipset
Power (W) Power (W) (C)     Version  HW Revision
---- -------------- --------- ------------ -------- ------------- -----------------
1    SG350-10P 62 0 (0%) 62 23.190.18.3 PD69208 - 0x4A02

...as it does with all other SG350-10P switches I have.

Tried powering it as a PD, no difference. Switching between AC or PoE powered makes no difference. Switch keeps saying that it has only 1W available, so every AP I connect says 'Failed' cuz every AP needs more that 1W.... Mine is a Unifi UAP-AC-PRO, needs 3.2W.

But that doesn't matter. What matters is that the switch has only 1W available, no matter what it's power source is.

All other 5 SG350-10P switches I own say they have 62W available. Just this single one says it has only 1W for PoE. Could be a simple defect? It's brand new, so I could send it back. But if a simple command could bring it back..... I can't find it anyway.

Eric,

In the four years since your last update, did you ever find a solution for this issue?

Thanks,
