Just a curios, how can i view the port G27 and G28 in GUI? As based on the GUI Adminstrator - > Port Management - > Port Setting i only can view from port G1 to G26. Or it will only appear when the port is active for stacking.

When in stack, those ports cannot be configured, nor viewable. Change the switch to standalone and those ports should display.

Additionally, on the NON-X switch, s3/s4 are the default stack port, S1/S2 must be toggled to be the stack port otherwise.

Hi Ziv, 2 of the GE ports are combo ports. You have 24 primary GE ports. You then have 2 combo GE ports with the SFP slots.

How can I use G27 and G28 ports as fiber ports for connections with other switches in the network? I need to use four fiber ports for connection with 4 other switches via fiber but I can't see g27 and g28.

Tnx in advance

I beleive what Tom just said was you'll need to put the switch in "Standalone" stacking mode to view those ports.  GUI > admin > system mode and stack management > check the box for your switch (if not stacked they'll only be one) and under Stack Unit Mode use the drop down window to select "standalone".  Default is "Native Stacking".

I never stacked but if these are the same exact switches or switch family(? not sure) I think you're better off stacking but if they are diffrerent types then you'd want standalone mode.

I had the same problem about not viewing the g27 and g28 ports, but setting the Switch on Standalone stacking mode allowed me to view the ports.
Sadly I still don't have connectivity between a SG500-28P (Core) and a SF102-24 Unmanaged Switch using SG500's S1 nor S3 ports with SF102's miniGBIC port (using MGBSX1 fiber module).
I don't know if its a speed problem (SF102 is 10/100) or what.
Any ideas will be very helpful.
Thanks in advance.
