10G switch

Can you tell me what switch I would need that have 10g rj45 ports?  I have looked at the 3850 but have not found anything that would accomplish what I am looking for, your help would be greatly appreciated.

None.

Hi

I agree with Leo, none switch has 10G ports for RJ45. You need to use SFP module like SFP-10G-SR / LR or probably other type of SFP's (fiber all of them), for example below you will find the link about the Cisco 4500X:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/catalyst-4500-x-series-switches/data_sheet_c78-696791.html

Hope it is useful

What about 4900M with WS-X4908-10G-RJ45?

Also, there are two XU C3850 models with UPOE mGig ports, and there should be several 10GBase-T Nexus models...

I recall (?) some of the Catalyst chassis switches support line blades with native copper 10g ports.

I'm unsure, but some Catalyst 10g SFP ports may support copper transceivers.

Ah, for an appliance switch, found the SG350XG-24T 24-Port 10GBase-T Stackable.  Also found the EoL (?) 4900M supported 8 port 10GBase-T modules.

For DC usage, found the Nexus 2232TM Fabric Extender.

For a chassis, found the Catalyst 4500E 48-Port UPOE with 12 mGig ports RJ45 Line Card.

(More about Catalyst with mGig capable ports might be found here: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/solutions/enterprise-networks/catalyst-multigigabit-switching/index.html?dtid=osscdc000283&stickynav=1)

thank you all, I appreciate all the help.

I have several 3850s all with 24 port 10Gig copper (rj45).

part number WS-C3850-24XU

HTH

part number WS-C3850-24XU

Thanks, Reza.  I didn't know about this.

Sure Leo.

The 10Gig 3850 has been out for over 18 months now.  I deployed them at the end of 2015.

Thanks,

Reza

I'm looking for switch with 10gbe copper or SFP+, if the switch can offer both possibility, why not ;)

Someone know if Cisco have something ?

Best Regards.
