10GBase-T on a Catalyst 2960-S

Is there a copper 10Gbps SFP for the Catalyst 2960-S that is compatible for connecting to a 10GBase-T module on a Catalyst 4900M?

I know there is some copper SFP's, but I don't know if they are 10GBase-T compatible. Also, with the limited distances, I'm wondering if it's safer using the SR fiber SFP's.

I seem to remember some annecdotal talk about these SFP's - the SFP-H10GB-CU1M - being having to be really carefully connected; i.e. it's easy to lose the link if you bend the cable in a certain way.

I would go with the SR fiber SFP.  All you need is a short LC to whatever the 4900M is.  I thin it takes X2 module, which make your cable LC to SC

Here are the supported 10G SFP's for the 2960S-

SFP-H10GB-CU1M1

SFP-H10GB-CU3M1

SFP-H10GB-CU5M1

SFP-10G-SR

SFP-10G-LRM

SFP-10G-LR

I personally would go with the SFP-10G-LRM. It's cheaper than the SFP-10G-SR and you can use single or multimode fiber.

Due to physical limitation, SFP+ 10GBASE-T transceiver is not available so far.

The only possible solution is media converter.
