I need to order 2960s, but a bit confused.  Silly question, but with the 2960XR-24PS, 2960XR-24TD, 2960XR-24TS.  What does PS, TD, and TS stand for?

And for 2960XR-48FPD, FPS, LPD, LPS?  FPD - full power distibution? LPD - Low Power Distribution?

P - PoE

FP - Full PoE, all 48 ports

the end letter D or S is for uplinks -

D - 2 SFP+ ports

S - 4 SFP ports

it only comes with the IP Lite layer 3 license

these seem to be the options:

Cisco Catalyst 2960XR-48FPD-I      48 port full poe with 2 sfp+ ports
Cisco Catalyst 2960XR-48FPS-I       48 port full poe with 4 sfp ports
Cisco Catalyst 2960XR-24PD-I         24 port full poe with 2 sfp+ ports
Cisco Catalyst 2960XR-24PS-I        24 port full poe with 4 sfp ports

i think the sfp+ ports support both 1Gb & 10Gb links but please confirm before purchase

So if I want to use 2960XR as my access layer switches, provide POE+ ports, and with option of 1 & 10 gig uplinks, which models would you recommend (a 24 port and a 48 port)?

these seem to be the options:

Cisco Catalyst 2960XR-48FPD-I      48 port full poe with 2 sfp+ ports
Cisco Catalyst 2960XR-48FPS-I       48 port full poe with 4 sfp ports
Cisco Catalyst 2960XR-24PD-I         24 port full poe with 2 sfp+ ports
Cisco Catalyst 2960XR-24PS-I        24 port full poe with 4 sfp ports

Thanks! Much appreciated.

Do the 2960XR's support 10 gig SFPs? It says they support SFP+, but can't find the SFP models for the 2960XR.

I think they have only either x4 SFP ports or x2 SFP+ ports - I think the SFP+ ports work with both 1Gb & 10Gb links

fil in the switch model in the the tmg matrix and select 10G
