Dear All,

I have a Cisco switch 4510R+E with SUP7-E.  Due to new requirement we are planning to add 3nos 12 port 10g-  WS-X4712-SFP+E Catalyst 4500 E-Series 12-Port card on the switch.

I would like to know whether we can add 3 nos 12 port 10g-  WS-X4712-SFP+E and it will work well.

Please let me know if any issues to add these cards on the switch.

Thanks

From the spec sheets, it should work in your 4510R+E with sup7e if you have 3.1.0SG or later.

Spec sheets also note this card oversubscribes by 2.5:1 and ports are divided into 4 3-port groups.  The bandwidth issues could impact does the ". . . it work well." depending on how hard you expect to drive the various ports.
