I have two 1231G Aironet's that work correctly when I connect them to my Catalyst 3548XL and my 3550-48-XL switches. When I connect them to the 3550-24-PWR switch I do see them when I issue sh cdp nei det. It shows me the IP of the wireless router. But when I ping the Aironet, I do not get any replies. If I plug the Aironet into my 3548XL and ping the IP, I get 5 replies. Here is the port config on both switches:
switchporrt trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport native vlan 100
switchport allowed vlan 1,69,100,125,200,1002-1005
switchport mode trunk
spanning-tree portfast
Here is the sh cdp nei det results:

I have tried two versions of the IOS on the 3550PWR switch. Right now its: c3550-ipservices-mz.122-44.SE6
Has anyone seen this problem with the 3550-24-PWR switchers? Any suggestions? What do you need from me to help solve his issue?
Thank you in advance!
Michael

Done.
I have a few changes that still need to be made to the 3550-24 but they would not affect this issue. I am in the middle of changing out my 3548XL for the 3550-24-PWR when I came acrooos the problem. I have a second 3550-24-PWR that I bought to swap out with my 3550-48-XL so tomorrow I am going to test it out too.

Hi Micheal,
It looks like you dont have an ip address on your managment vlan (vlan100). Could you move the ip address configured on fas 0/1 (192.168.100.101 255.255.255.0) to SVI interface Vlan100 and give a ping to ap?

I can ping now. I tried that setup earlier and I could not get it to work between the two switches, 3548 and 3550. I must have had something worng then. I don't know what I fat-fingered then but its working now.
Thanks you so much for such great help and speedy replies!
Now I can finish setting up my home/lab and get back to studying for my CCNA Voice cert. Again,
Thank You!
Michael
PS: I am sure I will have more questions in the furture. lol
