3640 in boot loop..wont boot up..says Insufficient memory to load image

Hello,

I have a cisco 3640 router which is in a constant boot loop..it wont boot up. I formatted the flash and copied the correct image ?(through another 3640) but it didnt help..after decompressing the file it gave the following error...

Not sure what to do in this case..Can someone help please???/ Thanks....

You need to get a smaller image , you do not have enough dram to support the image.

But it used to have this image only on it before...anyways I'll try a smaller image..

thanks..it worked...Is the larger image going to be supported if I alter the IOmem size??

You have to look at the system requirements when you download it from CCO. It will tell you the "minimum" requirements needed for dram and flash. Changing IOM is not likely to help. The show version command tells you how much dram and flash you have in the box and compare that to the system requirements.
