3650 Stack Switching - Adding a new member

I have an existing 3 member stack, about 1-1/2 years old to which I am adding a new member.

Question: Do I need to upgrade the original stack to the new version before I add the switch to the stack, or will "Mother Cisco" automatically do this for me?

Hi

All the switches must have the same image, same license, if Im not wrong the current master image will have the priority. So this image could be copied to the switch executing some commands, or the new switch must match the current image on the stack and make it manually (I prefer this option).

Hi, 

You are facing issue with IOS version. It is the basic requirement of Stacking of Same IOS version and build number and of course model number (not a part number).
