3750 Closet Stacks Are Acting Like Hubs

Hi All,
I have a building wide network wih a core switch in the datacenter and uplinks from 8 closet switch stacks.

I took a trace from a port from each closet stack to observe broadcast traffic (no port spans, etc). The first thing I noticed was I was seeing multiple other conversations on this port.

I always thought a switch would only send traffic to a port if it was bound for that specific device on that port (MAC address) or was a broadcast/multicast.

I'm seeing this behaviour on each of the eight closet stacks and am worried that it is causing degraded performance especially on busy days.

Any suggestions on what I should look for int he configuration file?

Unless you turn it off you will also see things like cdp , hsrp if its running .  You should not see specfic traffic destined for other users .
