What is the most stable of the more current codes that don't have too many known problems for a 3750G-12S? Right now it is ipservices 12.2.25SEE1. I know some of the newer ones have some issues so I'm looking for stability.

Hello Glen, I think its unanimously agreed amongst users on CSC that 12.2(55) SE7 is one of the most stable releases for 3750's. Always been advised by Leo and Inayath, and I also encourage this IOS version.
I know in my experience I had a significant change in downgrading to 12.2(55) SE7 (upgrading in your case) - I know in my scenario its a 3750X, but nevertheless, you will see other posts with the suggestion of this version that fixed a lot of peoples problems.

From what I have seen here on the forum 122.55(SE7) seems to be the one that is recommended.

Right now it is ipservices 12.2.25SEE1.
Another thing, Glen.
This is an old IOS and the IOS you're upgrading means that the bootstrap will be automatically upgraded. Do not be alarmed when you see the appliance boot up TWICE. This is just a once-off.

Here's the dig, Glen ...
1. 12.2(55)SE7, by far, is THE most stable IOS around.
2. 15.0(2)SE2 is a close contender, HOWEVER, if you are running 802.1X, stay away from this version and go to option #1.

Thanks for the heads up Leo . It is old .We are troubleshooting an issue where traffic seems to occasionaly drop a packet or 2 here and there as it travels thru the switch and we see no other reason for this to be happening.

You should be right then, Glen.

Stay as far away as you can from version 15.0(2)SE3.

I didn't even see a 15.X version for this original 3750 so it will be the 12.2.55SE7 .
06-18-2013 04:44 PM
Correct, the latest you can load on this switch is 12.2.55SE7.
IOS 15 can be used for E and X series.

You can load 15.0 into the 3750G as well.
Glen,
I should have been more specific: Avoid 15.0(2)SE3 in ALL switches (and not just 3750/G/E/X).

Leo,
You can load 15.0 into the 3750G as well.
You can? I looked for it on CCO, and the only one I saw for Glen's model was 12.2 range.
Maybe, I don't have enough privilages on my profile to see 15.

Some 3750G models (like the PoE versions) comes with 32 mb flash. So it'll fit.
Reza,
PM sent.

Reza,
You are right :-)
