Can I purchase an upgrade to my 3750S so that I can load and use the 3750E image.

If you are talking about an SMI to EMI upgrade, then you can order.
LL-3750-EMI= Enhanced Multilayer SW Image License for 3750 10/100 models
Check with your cisco account manager for confirmation though
