3750 ubsflash as tftp source?

my 3750 switch lets me use the command

tftp-server usbflash0:c3750e-universalk9-mz.152-4.E10.bin

but clients connecting to that server get "file not found." if i put the same file on flash: and change the tftp-server command to flash:, it works. is it expected that the usbflash doesn't work?

well. upon further review. i actually had

tftp-server usbflash0:/c3750e-universalk9-mz.152-4.E10.bin

as the command. with a slash in it. which i assume the system sees as part of the file name. taking the slash out fixed it.

i have a usb with various IOS images plugged into switchA. i have various other devices that i need to pull those IOS images off of switchA's usb stick via tftp.

Let me understand what you trying to do ?

Are you trying to copy from TFTP Server to USB (which is connected to Switch) - that fails.

same TFTP to Flash works ? - is this correct ?

Please avoid "updating" the firmware of a switch by copying the BIN file from one switch to another.

1.  The "copy" command has no way to determine if the file is compatible or not;

2.  The "copy" command will not guarantee the file is not corrupt
