Hi All,
I have a 3750X stack with 2 members running 15.0(1)SE3
Strange thing is I am getting discard errors on some of the second member switch ports.
Problem is this ports is used for just management connections and there is almost no utilization.
And it gets weirder when I issue sh inter gx/x/x continuously i get same counts for total drop even if i clear the counters
956 or 0
I tried shutting down the interfaces rebooting the member.
Any ideas what could it be ?
here is some output about;
interface GigabitEthernet2/0/40
description HP_ILO
switchport access vlan 110
switchport mode access
end
Filanco-3750x#sh int Gi2/0/40

You might be hitting bug:
•CSCtq86186 (Catalyst 3750-X and 3750-E switches)
In a switch stack, the show interface command shows incorrect values for output drops.
The workaround is to use the show platform port-asic stats drops command to see the correct values.
This is fixed in IOS 15.0(2)SE and later.
Hope this helps.
