Hi. I have a stack of 2 non Poe 3750x switches with a single 350watt psu in each with power stack cables connected. I have purchased an additional psu to slot into switch1. I need to take the existing psu offline for maintenance. Is it as simple as slotting new additional psu into one of the switches and powering down the one psu? I've read the article on stack wise about power sharing/redundant power. As only a few ports are in use on each switch and they aren't Poe switches will this config setting make any difference to me? Lastly does the new psu need to be enabled via cli or will it work straight off. Thanks in advance.

All you have to do is to insert the 2nd PSU in the switch. Once that is done, on the cli you should see a message that the 2nd PSU was added. Also, "sh env all" should show both PSU. You can then take the other PSU out of the slot for maintenance. No need for any cli configuration. The switch will recognize the PSUs.

Thanks.
Once all 3 psu's are live after maintenance would you recommend power redundant mode so one psu will stay dormant until failure or default power sharing?
