If this is a stack you need to Upgrade the stack as the best approach.

If you like to each one, split the stack and upgrade and join back. ( this required more downtime)

Make sure you read the release notes from what version your version vs the target version and understand any bugs.

Note: always offload current working config out of the box.

you can just upgrade master switch, aka switch #1  then others will upgrade software from it;  We did it when replacing old with new and had to do upgrade.  I think it takes about 20 minutes and command is "software auto install" but check Cisco doc page for 3850s. we install and upgraded master switch; then turn on 2nd switch and issue software auto install command. Not sure if it is possible to accidentally downgrade master from 2nd one.

What is the current version of the stack?
What is the intended version to be upgraded to?

This command is not going to support Bundle Mode.
