Hello,
Are there any restrictions when connecting to the 3850 StackWise with a trunk from a 4948? In other words, does the trunk coming from the 4948 need to trunk to a port on the Master switch of the stack? When I ping over that trunk link I drop 60% of my packets right now and I am going to the third switch in the stack. Both ports say up/up on each side, 'sh int trunk' shows all the VLANs allowed over that trunk. 802.1q is fine on both sides.
Any guidance is much appreciated.
Thanks,
John

Assuming the 3850 stack is operating correcty, you can build a trunk/channel to any port of any switch in the stack. It does not have to be to the stack master.
3850's used to have a lot of bad firmware. I would probably run 3.6.7E or 3.7.5E as my preferred releases.
