Hi,
Just wanted to know what options are available for 40Gbps support on linecards for the 6807-XL? Seems only WS-X6904-40G-2T and WS-X6904-40G-2TXL?
Can this particular linecard (c6800-32p10g) ports be converted to 40gb? And can 40 Gbps fibre optic links be connected to the c6800-32p10g?

All Catalyst 6800 series line cards support CVR-4SFP10G-QSFP Adapter. Due to power limitations on line card, one port per port-group can be operated on 40G and connected to CVR-4SFP10G-QSFP Adapter. Please refer Table 10-3 40G Ports supported on port groups.

what option is available for native 40G in the core / distribution layer? is the only option nexus 7k?

C6800-*P10G cards can be used with this (since IOS 15.4(1)SY with SUP2T, 15.3(1)SY with SUP6T):
