4500-x and 10G Wave Connection

Just want to confirm with the community, I have two WS-C4500X-16 running in a VSS pair.  We are looking to buy a 10G Wave connection and want to be sure I won't have any performance issues connecting my 4500x to our provider 10G.

The provider will be installing the WAVE gear on prem and we plan to connect to their gear via SM fiber using SFP-10G-LRM.

Any issues?

Hi,

Actually mentioned SFP is multi mode by default and can use SM up to 300m according to cisco note. (SFP-10G-LRM)

https://tmgmatrix.cisco.com/?npid=312

If this spec is OK with the wave team, and matching with their requirement to connectivity, then no issue. switch is OK for deployment. make sure using recommended OSs and updates as a best practice.

Good luck

As Long the gear support the specified SFP Optic, i do not see any Issue, Make sure you use both the same Optic example LRM, should be same LRM to LRM
