4500-X - CPU process K5CpuMan Review

Hi Everybody,

I have 2 4500-x in VSS mode.

The CPU core 1 is 92  79 and 67 %

 But when i do sh processes cpu sorted

Do you kow what is  the process K5ForerunnerPacketMa ?

Why when I do "sh processes cpu sorted", the sum of process see less than 92% ??

IOSd means the switch has link(s) that are being overutilized.  Check each interface and determine which one has the highest amount of "output drops".

Ok.

I done "clear counter" on all interfaces.

I will see in one hour  if 4500-x has one or more interfaces with "output drops".

There aren't of "output drop" on interfaces.

What firmware is the chassis running on? 

After the output above, is the CPU still high?

Firmware is  Version 03.08.01.E RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)

I juste did clear counter, yes the CPU still high.

When you remote into the switch, is the response time sluggish or is it snappy?

The reponse time is very good.

No problem.

not sluggish  or snappy.

Perhaps I worry for nothing

I agree.  Could be "cosmetic".  

Just keep monitoring.
