I've opened a RMA for my faulty sup720 10G cisco has sent me a new device, to put it on my VSS environment i've tried to install the IOS taking it from of the running device in VSS.
booting from this ios version the sup goes in ROMMON because of a wrong checksum...!!
the verify /md5 give the same result on running and on new sup. So the file is not corrupted..!!
Opened a webex session with support engeneer, he has solved the issues renaming the ios with the same name without .bin extension
then system boot flash sub-bootdisk:filename_without_extension and all is working fine....!!!
WHY..???
the other device well boot with the extension....!!
