Hi, everyone

I installed a 7600-SIP-600 into a Cisco 7613-S Chassis With RSP720-3CXL-GE, but the router`s log  shows it is not supported, could you please help me if it is a Hardware incompatibility or maybe a Software issue??

Thanks in advanced

I can't find any restrictions on placing a SIP-600 in a 7613 chassis with RSP720, and the IOS version definitely seems recent enough to support it - maybe it's just a matter of available power (the shelf being almost full), what does "show power" look like?

Hi Lulian,

Here es the show power,

thanks for your help.

So it's not insufficient power...  an even longer shot, but couldn't hurt checking: "show hw-module slot 10 fpd" (although the documented behaviour of mismatching firmware is not exactly "power down").

Many thanks for your help Lulian,

This is what the command displays:

#show hw-module slot 10 fpd

% No cards with FPD support can be found at the indicated slot number.

I'm wondering if you were able to resolve this issue when 7600-SIP-600 not supported with 15.4(3)S. it appears we are facing similar problem and was hoping you can post the solution...

Thank you

Hi David,

What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far? It sounds like you could have a CFC/DFC mismatch on your SIP 600 which is stopping it from powering on. Were there any other errors or logs when the SIP is inserted or removed? Is this in production? If a mismatch is the case, a reload of the box should solve the problem as it will renegotiate the PFC mode for the system.  Please review the below for further clarity:

Hope this helps!
