9404R to 9300 Connection Timeout

I feel like there's something simple here i am missing.

We are deploying new 9404s and one of our distro devices are two 9300s connected with the virtual stack wise. My test 9404 is connected via  a 1GB blade with matching SX SFPs and OM3/Aqua fiber Connection is up/up on both ends, VTP appears to be working, and devices are visible over CDP at L2. I can ping the SVI from the 9404 and other network devices, and from other devices ping the 9404.

However, on the 9404 i have no output data.  The 9300 of course has output but no input. The fiber shows no L1 issues.

I feel like i'am overlooking something simple. I've attempted setting speed non on both ends to no success.  Due to this, SSH and connections to the 9404 time out.

What am i overlooking?

Issue resolved.

It appeared ip routing was disabled but after running 'no ip route' we are good to go.

Hi

Is not that we dont trust you but, it is more easier to help if we can see some configuration and output.

You can hide sensitivity  information is that was the case.

show run both sides

show version both sides

show ip interface gigabitethernet x

show interfaces status err-disabled

show interfaces counters

show interfaces counters protocol status

show interfaces gigabitethernetx switchport

show interfaces gigabitethernetx  transceiver detail

show interfaces transceiver threshold-table
