access list and trunk

Dear all,

I have a switch 3750. I create some of vlan 3,4,5,6,7,8 and have one trunk port:

(1)port 37, allow vlan 2-4096, connect to a switch 2960).

VLAN3,4,5,7,8 can access each other with access list control

My questions ;

(1) in this case ,the vlan have acess list control ,the vlan 3,4,5,7,9 can through the trunk to switch 2960

(2) what is he relationship between access list and trunk?

Hi,

Not sure if I understand your questions.  usually you do not need to have access list to make the vlans communicate with each other.  They can communicated with each other by default.  You only use vlan access list to prevent one or multiple vlan to communicate with each other.
